I edited some photos a couple of years ago which have been sitting on my external drive.
Yesterday I opened in photoshop and the colours are completely out.
Can somebody help ? I have looked at Colour Profiles and Colour Settings.
Two photos - 2570.jpg is original edit, 2585.jpg is what I am getting when I open the file.
Completely bamboozled as to why lol.

Please set the Status Bar to »Document Profile« and post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?
What are the images’ embedded ICC Profiles? What are Photoshop’s Edit > Color Settings?

Are you sure you edited 2585 to match 2570 in appearance back then?
Did you change your RGB Working Space since then?

2 questions,
do your images have embedded ICC profiles?
are you using the same display screen and settings?
even better is the display system calibrated and profiled?
I see the skin is rather pinkish in image 2, that looks to me like an sRGB image with Adobe RGB used to display it, try edit/assign profile and assign sRGB, any better?
For images without an embedded ICC profile, by necessity an ICC profile has to be assumed so it can be displayed on-screen - Photoshop uses the default RGB colourspace (ICC profile) as defined in Photoshop's Color Settings
I hope this helps
