Hallo Everyone

I am building my website on  Adobe Portfolio. I have tried searching some videos on youtube, however my images are still 2MB.

It's a portfolio site with the intention to sell and get work (lifestyle shooots etc.) I am a stock cotributor aswell. however there are some images I don't want to sell as stock hence preserving detail is the most important part.

I am looking for a good instructional video or article to assist with this.

Compress image for web without loosing (sic) detail

Hi Suzanne,

I found your post lingering in the Photoshop Camera forum. Adobe Photoshop Camera is a free mobile app that lets you add filters and effects to your photos. It does not compress images. I've moved your post to Adobe Photoshop for you.

Please provide more details, at which pixel dimensions do you want to display the images?

What are their original pixel dimensions?

@Boskasie  It's reasonably straightforward,

Duplicate your original image file so as not to downsize your archive copy.

Now, working in the duplicate - convert it to sRGB colourspace (since that generally gives better appearance online), save

- now go to 'image size' and enter the (output) pixel dimensions you require, make sure 'resample' is checked.

Don't worry about the 'resolution setting' - that’s essentially only important for print work.

Once resized, you may like to add a little sharpening to achieve your desired appearance.

that’s the basics covered for you I think

I hope this helps
