Fill > Content Aware and Content Aware - Fill were working just fine before the update. Now, a couple of different things are happening. It seems to happen when I am on another layer other than the Background layer. I am working on a Macbook Pro with Ventura 13.3.1 (a) (22E772610a). Is this happening to anyone else after the 24.5.0 Photoshop release? TIA!

Fill > Content Aware:

  1.  If I am on the bacground laywer and select an area with the patch tool > Edit > Fill > Content Aware it works fine.
  2. If I am on a copied second layer (Command > J of the background image) and select an area with the patch tool > Edit > Fill > Content Aware an error message comes up saying:

Could not fill because there are not enough source pixels on the selected layer.

    Content Aware - Fill:
  3.  If I am on the bacground layer and select an area with patch tool > Edit > Content Aware - Fill (Auto, Default, Current Layer) it seems to work fine.
  4. If I am on a copied second layer (Command > J of the background image) and select an area with the patch tool > Edit > Content Aware - Fill (Auto, Default, Current Layer) it deletes everything off the layer except the selected portion.

It worked when I made a selection with the lasso tool. It would not work with selections made via pen tool then converted from a path.
