I am using CS4 Photoshop and when I use the Lasso tool to select the unwanted area of my photo, then "EDIE", then "FILL" it doesn't show any "CONTENT AWARE"

in the menu, WHY???

Photoshop CS4 is over 10 years old.

CS4 is too old for Content Aware.  Use the Clone Stamp Tool instead.

As suggested above, the Content Aware Fill was added in version CS5, Photoshop CS4 had Content Aware Scaling.
However, if you want to remove unwanted areas from an image, you can use the Patch tool in CS4, but it's not as intelligent about filling the area (you need to choose a similar area manually).

    Hi Richardr,

That does not sound good, let's make it right.

As Content Aware is not available in the Fill menu, could you please make sure that the correct layer is selected in the layers panel? Because Content Aware Fill only works on a pixel layer, it cannot be applied to a text layer or an empty layer.

    Regards,
