Question

Content Credentials not working as per documentation

Although I have used Photoshop and Lightroom for many years, I only started using Content Credentials recently, basically to tag the image I took and publish in the internet. However when I export and image with "Export As" from a JPG or a PSD, it does no allow you to incorporate the content credentials. Only when I create a new file blank and copy the image, only then it will add the content credentials. The same happens in Lightroom Classic if I export a file to jpg, it does allow to add the content credentials, however the file created, has no contact credentials.

I am using a Mac with M2 chip and the latest version of Photoshop and Lightroom, both have full access to the disk as well as internet connection.

Anyone has encountered this issue?

Hey, @Gonzalo ContrerasDelSolar. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Please share a video of your steps and the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Also, please test and confirm if the issue exists with Photoshop (Beta). You can get Photoshop (beta) from the Creative Cloud > Apps tab > Beta Apps section.

Thanks!

@Sameer K Not sure if you receive the previous messages, I a, uploand all in one.

In the case of photoshop, using a jps or psd file and when trying to export it does not allow me to set up the Content Credentials (they appear grayed), however if I create a blank jpg file and copy an image to it, it does give me the option to set the CC  and the file generate has the logo of Cr.

In Lightroom, as you can see, the EXPORT AS, does show the options to include Contenct Creation, however the file generated, does not have CC, it is a regular file, also if i try to export form a RAW file or a PSD, the jpg generated, does not have CC.

hope this clarifies the issues

Thanks for adding the video; it helps. What you're seeing is expected behavior.

With the JPEG, you must enable Content Credentials from the Window > Content Credentials (beta) panel.

Once you enable Content Credentials from the panel, the CR icon will appear in the File Name & the Export As dialog with the CC options.

You can also make adjustments to default behaviors from Photoshop > Settings > History & Content Credentials tab.

For Lightroom Classic, you can verify the Export Images at Adobe Inspect to view your Content credentials embedded into the file. Head here to learn more: https://adobe.ly/41hjlSI

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

@Sameer K Thank you Sameer, for Photoshop I was missing the setup in Windows, (thought only needed to setup in Preferences). However on Lightroom, I followed the guide of the link you shared, and I am doing exactly that, but when the file is exported and arrives to Photoshop without the Cr, in the video I shared you can see that I do the same to the instructions, guess I am missing something. Including and iamge of what I see on the Export options.
