Contextual Task Bar Doesn’t Match Book Example — Using Latest Photoshop on Desktop

This is newly published book. My Contextual Task Bar is not same as mentioned in the book. How to fix it? I use latest version of Ps in a desktop.

Make a selection, for example with the rectangular marquee tool, and the content of the contextual task bar will change to that shown in the book.

You can speek to Colin directly on his Photoshop Cafe YouTube channel.  He put up a video yesterday annopuncing his new book.  Ask in the video comments, and he will definitely reply.   BTW That's one the better channels for Photoshop and Lightroom content.

 

When he announced the book, I did wonder about how quickly Ai and Generative Fill is changing in Photoshop, and how relevant and current the book could be.  Can you tell us if it includes the Generative Workspace panel (below? This is the first time I have seen that pop-up with this panel.

Just I stated to read this book. Only I have competed 25 pages. Still I have not come accross "Generative Workspace panel". If I saw this I will let you know.
