Hello!
So, Type > Convert to Shape is automatically adding a black stroke around any text converted, and I have found no way to edit this or fix it. Had to reinstall Photoshop 2020 in order to get files to the printer correctly this morning. Problem is 100% reproducible every time you try and turn solid color text into an outline. Can you please fix ASAP?
Thanks.

So set the shape stroke to px or no stroke. Photoshop most likely remembered how you used shape the last time or 1px black is now the default conversion. Use the direct select tool and set the shape stroke the off or to 0px.

Thank you! It was the "direct select" tool tip that let me finally see the options. No matter how many times I clicked on the layer I couldn't get that to come up; I almost never use the direct select tool, even in very complex files, so it didn't occur to me that it would give me more options.

Yes. It works but you have to do it on every text again and again even after program srestart or trying to set it as 0 in nev document.

Since Adobe seems to have change convert to shape and now set the 1px black stroke for text shape layer. If you convert text layers to shape layers all the time you should automate the process to set the stroke off. Adobe most likely made the change to make the shape show on a background that may match the text color its unlikely they will remove the change. You could ask to the old method be restored.
