Hi,

I need to copy from one psd to another a layer adjustment value  (levels), How is this done ?

I can copy paste layer styles , but see no means of bringing across to another psd file layer adjustment values.

Cheers.

Merlin

Both of what @Stephen Marsh mentioned are excellent ideas. I would go with just dragging the layer over. If you use those seeting often, you can also save the layer to your library. One note on that is that if you drag it to a different sized file, you want to press the alt/opt key so it sizes correctly and doesn't leave an uncorrected border.

@Chuck Uebele – I don’t use the Library, so I'm just thinking out loud, if one deleted the layer mask from the adjustment layer before storing it in the library, then it shouldn't matter about the target document size vs. the source document size.

I thought that that wouldn't be an issue, but I added a gradient map to my library that I use to show clipping. It only worked on the size of my original file, unless I held the alt key. Seems odd, but I found that out the hard way.

@Merlin3

You can manually drag the adjustment layer from one doc to another using the Layers panel, or use the Layer > Duplicate Layer menu command to dupe the adjustment layer from one doc to another.

The alternative would be to save the adjustment layer values as a preset from within the adjustment layer (gear icon), then load the preset into the other doc's adjustment layer.
