corrupt photoshop file

Hi, I have a problem with the files whose image is below. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem and know why it's happening? It's worth adding that I lost all the layers in these files and this doesn't always happen. Additionally, the message "gradient file is corrupt" appeared - could this be the cause of this problem?image.pngimage.png

This is a corrupt file, and file corruption is always, no exception, caused by failing hardware.

It can be a drive about to fail or bad RAM, but also worn and loose cables and connectors (like e.g. if you're using external drives). Power loss during a save is another variety.

It can also happen if you're working directly over a network connection. That is not supported and at your own risk.

Make backups ASAP, and don't do any critical work until you've narrowed it down. Try to replicate and note the conditions it happens under.
