Corrupted Photo Files

I have a new iMac. I'm taking some product photos, but whe I import them into Photoshop 25.3.1 most become corrupted.  I get a message that states the file may be damaged or truncated.  I am using new SD cards with a Canon 6D and 60D.  It is taking me longer than I expected to process photos since I switched to MAC.  I need help right away.

Thanks

Download the files from SD card direct to your local drive using Canon or Adobe software, then open from the local drive into Photoshop (not opening directly from the SD card). Always reformat the SD cards in-camera or using Canon software.

Thank you. I always download my photos from the SD card directly into
Photoshop. I've done it this way for years. Also, I always format my SD
card in camera. That's how I trained my students. My issue is once I've
downloaded the photos and view them through Bridge many are corrupted. I
have to download the photo again and hopefully they won't be corrupted. I
had been using a Photoshop on a PC and recently switched to iMAC. However,
since Adobe has synced the platform there should be no problem, except I am
having this problem. What is so different about Photoshop on a MAC
compared to a PC? This is the help I need.

Thanks

File corruption is always caused by failing hardware. No exception.

Start with replacing the card/cables/card reader. You are using a card reader, not copying directly off the camera?

If that's not it, you may have a drive about to fail, or bad RAM.

Either way, make sure your backups are in order.
