I am having a major issue in PS. I cannot "save" or "save as" any of my work becasue an error pops up as you see in the subject title. This started as soon as I did the latest update for Photshop. Please help so I can get rid of this, thank you.

Hello, affected users should update to Photoshop 22.1.1 as it fixes the issue: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues.html

If the update does not appear in the CC app, go to help>check for updates.

Disable all but the bottom layer. Save. Quit. Relaunch.

It's a terrible workaround, but it usually let's you keep what you've done.

If you're using artboards just hide them all 'Save' close photoshop, reopen, show the artboards and its all there.

Hi Kelsey5F8B,

Once you get the error, Photoshop won't save anything until you do the following:

- Hide layers or hide artboards.

- Save the whole file as a PSD.

- Close Photoshop.

- re-open photoshop and your PSD.

- Show the layers or artboards

- Now you can save as a JPG or whatever you need to.

I had the same issue with Photoshop 22.1 on MacBook Air over Mojave 10.14.3 (18D109).
Solved installing early version 22.01.-

Hello!

I'm having the same problem with PS 22.4.2 (on iMac OS Big Sur, 11.4).

I can "save as" with a new filename.
But not just "save".

Tried the things recommended
such as
- hiding layers
- save as PSD (I actually only want to save PSD with 2 layers, size around 1MB)
- PS has access to complete Hard Drive

I really new a hint in what to do.
Thanks a lot!
