What is the actual version (not "latest") you are opening with?

Photoshop has always been fully backwards compatible. Any older file will open in any newer version.

So there's something going on here. Did you try what Kevin suggested, putting the file on your desktop?

What is the extension of this file?

It shows Adobe Photoshop Image.24 (.psd)
It was riginally a 1.2gb psb file
Yes, I tried putting it on desktop and it shows the same problem

Does it open if you change the extension back to .psb?

All in all, I'm getting the impression that the file is corrupted. This is one reason I don't trust cloud storage. Corruption is fairly common.

Hi @Tanvi30303155qi85 where is the PSD document stored? have you tried dragging to your local HD and opening from there?

Hello @Kevin Stohlmeyer , It was in my dropbox folder. Yes, I tried that as well

@Tanvi278906736j1e This is a known issue with Dropbox. Disable Dropbox sync and try again.
