Crash opening HEIC files on Windows 10 [2021]

Beim Öffnen von HEIC Fotos stürzt Photoshop Version 22.4.1 in Windows 10 Pro 21H1 ab. Deinstallieren und Neuinstallation helfen nicht.

Sorry that Photoshop is crashing while trying to open a HEIC file on Windows 10.

 

Which version of Photoshop are you using? Photoshop added HEIC support on Windows (version 22.1), relying on the operating system's codecs for this format:

Which version of Photoshop are you using? Photoshop added HEIC support on Windows (version 22.1), relying on the operating system's codecs for this format:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/ps-heic-codec.html

 

"View and work with HEIF/.heic files in Photoshop on Windows by downloading and installing HEIF and HEVC codecs from the Microsoft Store."

 

Please note that you need to download and install BOTH the HEIC and HEVC codecs  Downloading just the HEIC codec did not work.
