Crash to blackscreen when using Blur gallery

Watching this thread/same issue. Cannot issue a crash report due to shuts down and reboots.

Dont use the Game Ready driver - switch to Studio.

A system hang or freeze requiring a computer restart usually means a low level failure such as a driver (bad video card driver, etc), failing hardware (hard disk, video card, etc.) or damaged OS installation. 

Have you tried rolling back a version to see if this issue goes away?

Hi, I don't get a crash dialogue box. I get a frozen black screen with no way to get back to desktop, (Alt, Ctrl + Delete does nothing). I'm forced to do a hard-reset.

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Does it work correctly? 

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back. 

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Spoke too soon. Just tried adding a second Blur Gallery effect and it crashed again.

I'm using the Game-Ready driver rather than the studio one.

It looks like ticking that "Deactivate Native Canvas" worked. I've switched "use Graphics Processor" back on and was able to apply a Blur Gallery effect without crashing.

Not seeing the issue here with Photoshop version 24.1 on Windows 10 with an RTX 3090, do you use the Studio Nvidia driver of the Game Ready, Adobe recommends the Studio version.

Try enabling this option in preferences and restarting Photoshop to see if it helps
