Creating a Single Layer For All Text Boxes

Is it possible to add multiple text boxes to a single layer?

Each time I use the tool it creates a new layer so I end up with lots of them. I am working on adding text notes and chords to a Music Charts.

Thanks in advance!

You can select all of those text layers and group them.

You could merge all the type layers into one layer, but don't—you want to maintain the individual type layers so that you can edit them later, if necessary.

I like Silkrooster's answer: select the type layers and click the Create a New Group icon at the bottom of the Layers panel. Groups are a great way to organize your layers, and you can nest groups (up to 10 deep).
