Is there a way to create a square brush in photoshop for retouching so that you can change the size of the brush and the opacity when working on photographic images.

Thanks Zeno Bokor for the help with the square brush. I have one more question on this, Is it possible to make the square brush soft. When I retouch I usually use the airbrush soft round but I thought I could do that with the square brush. There doesn't seem to be any adjustment for the softness on the square brush set

Thanks again

Check out the Drop Shadow Brushes set.

If they don't work for you, it's easy enough to make any sort of brush you'd like.

oldeagleeyes,

You can achieve this by creating a brush from blurred or gradient-filled square.
