no layers added.  No layers to delete.  Every time I open the program, it will not let me crop.  I can only crop if it's a raw pic and the first window before it goes into the program, lets me crop.

Thank you dini1993...was driving me crazy why I couldn't crop. Don't know why the 2020 workspace defaults to 3D.

for that crop feature you need to make a selection first. i don´t see that you made a selection.

use the crop icon on the left toolbar instead for cropping an image without making a selection first.

if you don´t see the crop icon there you have to edit the toolbar (the three points icon)

Thank you, but there is no crop icon, if you look.  I am new with Photoshop CC, but my old photoshop had the icon.  Is there a different Icon??

Hi Tanja2014 und jane-e,

the crop tool is not available in all workspaces.

Maybe this thread is only a joke.

The tool palette is not standard and there is a stacking symbol in the left corner of the control bar. The TO doesn't show us the very important Layers palette.

Perhaps this is the 3D workspace - there is no crop available.

If is not a joke:

I think the solution is to change the workspace to normal. If this doesn't work - rasterize the layer and after then try to crop again.

What is this for a stacking symbol in the top left corner?

And did you noticed this helpful post?

Also, one way to take a screen shot using Windows is with the built-in Snipping Tool.
