Crop tool frozen in maintain aspect ratio

I am sure I am missing the obvious, but my crop tool seems to be stuck in "maintain aspect ration."  I can't change the shape of the crop area at all.  It just gets larger and smaller in the same shape. I can move it as the demonstrations show.

How do I fix that?

Many thanks.

Hi

To return the Crop tool to its default settings, right-click the tool icon in the options bar (not Tools panel), and then choose Reset Tool (or Reset All Tools) from the context menu.

You're welcome, Kenneth. When you set options for a tool, they are "sticky", so this may have been set days or weeks or months ago. If you don't see the setting on the options bar, then Resetting the tool will always put it back to its defaults.
