Crop Tool

How do I independently adjust the bars in the crop tool?  I used to be able to move each bar independently, changing the aspect ration.  Now no matter with ratio option I choose in the crop tool preferences I can't do it.  I'm using the old crop tool and clicking and dragging a box.  I'm then stuck with the aspect ratio that I drew the box at.

    What version of Photoshop do you have, also can you post a screenshot with the Crop Tool options visible

    If you're selecting a ratio option, the Crop Tool will be restrained to that. Click the Clear button to the right of that drop down menu. Then you should be able to crop to whatever ratio you want.


    I clicked the clear button, but it's already clear.  So that doesn't work.  I'm trying to grab one side of the crop box and drag it in or out so I can change the aspect.  It was letting me do that before.  Now with an update something has changed.
