Question

Crop Tool

How do I independently adjust the bars in the crop tool?  I used to be able to move each bar independently, changing the aspect ration.  Now no matter with ratio option I choose in the crop tool preferences I can't do it.  I'm using the old crop tool and clicking and dragging a box.  I'm then stuck with the aspect ratio that I drew the box at.

    Hi

What version of Photoshop do you have, also can you post a screenshot with the Crop Tool options visible

I clicked the clear button, but it's already clear.  So that doesn't work.  I'm trying to grab one side of the crop box and drag it in or out so I can change the aspect.  It was letting me do that before.  Now with an update something has changed.

I am on the 20.0.3 release for Windows 10, and I set the crop tool to how it appears you have yours - in Classic Mode with the overlay off and Ratio selected with the amounts cleared for the aspect ratio. The only way I can make the Crop Tool constrain to the originally drawn aspect ratio is if I hold Shift while I change it. If you're not holding Shift, maybe try restarting or resetting the preferences Preferences in Photoshop
