Cropping Action Moves the Image on the Workspace

Hiya, folks! I just reset PS preferences for PS2023 (24.0.1) on my Mac Studio M1 (13.0.1) because specific actions (e.g., dragging a text layer from another image into my workspace) would cause my entire computer to shut down and restart. Seemed to have fixed that problem with the preferences reset, but...

...in resetting preferences, now whenever I use the crop tool the image I've just cropped shoots up to the upper left corner of my workspace rather than remaining centered in the workspace. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Uncheck "Overscroll" under Preferences > Tools.

Thanks for the reply. Reseting the workspace didn't do it.

Here are two screenshots. The short explanation is that any image I manipulate in any way moves around on the screen rather than staying centered. I think there's an option in Preferences to make it lock to the center of the workspace, but I can't recall what that is.
