Question

CS2 Photoshop

Dear all,

Long time ago I bought officially CS2. But it is not working anymore because of the offline activation server. When you install it again you cannot work with it with another 30 days. So totally unusable now.

We wrote a large Visual Basic Programm and it works only with PS (2) (from CS2).

Upgrade would mean a totally rewriting of our programms. Is there an old Photoshop (we need only PS) available (CS2 version) or which newer version of PS will hopefully work.

The problem is that Adobe shut down the CS2 activation servers years ago, so it's no longer possible to activate Photoshop CS2.

What operating system are you using?

I don't know if it would work, but both photoshop elements 4 and 5 are based on the photoshop cs2 code base

and those are available in versions that don't require activation, however, you still run a risk because one needs to buy them used, then transfer the license.

In addition to what Jeff said, the only legal way to purchase Photoshop now is by subscription. Adobe offers the current version and one previous. If  PSE doesn't work for you, rewriting your programs may be your only option.
