CS3, OS10.5 registration problem

We are setting up an older Mac Power PC to run our Kodak Creo scanner which won’t operate on any Mac OS after 10.5 (circa (2005-6). We want to install Photoshop CS3 on this computer to proof the scans and have the original disc and license that we purchased from Adobe back at that time but cannot complete the online registration because this machine will only run a version of Safari from that same time period and there may be java issues. Our computer won’t talk to the Adobe registration system because of the operating system differences. We purchased this version of PS back in it’s day and have a registration for it, but can’t seem to get it to Adobe so that the software will work after 30 days. Any suggestions?

Registration is optional and not required and besides if you ever installed and registered cs3 on another computer, there is no need to register it again.

Also, with older adobe products the registration won't go through from within the application itself, so one would have to sign in to the adobe account and register there.

Are you talking about activation or registration?

Activation is required, while registration is optional.

The error message says registration and the program launches but I thought I saw something that said we had 30 days to use it without registering.

There should be a link in that window to license your software. Enter your license key there.

I've only launched the software twice since we haven't started the project yet and it did not ask me to register. Only on the initial launch. I tired to do it manually but do not get the options described in the document. This number was registered/activated before when we first bought and installed it 10 years ago so maybe all will work out fine. We'll know in 30 days. Thanks for everyone's help on this.

Tom
