CS6 Photoshop serial not working

I recently tried to install my version of photoshop CS6 on a new laptop. 

However. After downloading and installing the files and entering the serial provided by my adobe account. It says invalid serial number.

This is not a software issue. Everything was working on windows 10 on my old laptop, and the 30 day trial version has no problem running on the new laptop.

The serial number has been verified as valid by online support. 

I was told to deactivate the software on the old laptop. So this has already been done.

 

I know the software is not supported anymore. But the issue is not the software. The issue seems to be the online serial validation not accepting a working serial.

 

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I had the same situation. A serious PITA since I paid a fortune for my Adobe products...but since CS6 is a dead product they will not help you at all.  Also, from what I was told, continuing to use it could be a violation of copyrights..  I mean, what about OUR rights as people that paid to OWN it.  Oh right, we never own software, we actually pay to use it as long as they say we are allowed.  Anyway, the serial number server has been shut down for CS6 so it is truly dead.  They want more of your money.

There is no violation of any copyrights, and no servers have been shut down. Photoshop CS6 still works as long as you have a valid serial number.

 

What has changed recently, is that Adobe will no longer reset the activation count for you, if you need to reinstall and did not first deactivate one of the previous installs.

 

If you cannot access the old computer to deactivate, the activation is gone and there's nothing to do. But for a planned reinstall, just deactivate first and everything will work as it always has.

When I called the tech support I was told the server was shut down. If that
is wrong then I was lied to and I am sorry for giving the wrong information
here. Never my intention. I lost a couple computers in a fire and thus no
way to deactivate those copies.. Oh well...

Thank you for the information. Glad at least that got cleared up.

We can't help you with serial numbers, you need to contact Adobe Customer Care.
