Cursor Missing on Remove Tool

Recent updates have removed the cursor on the remove tool, Mac OS edition, silicone. This is not the case on the Beta Version and I can't figure out what is going on. I can't find how wide the brush is until I start generating an overlay. Wonder if there is a wat to reset this or if I have turned it off by mistake. I am using the standard cursors..

Hi @PhotoTrip

Sorry for the delayed response, and thanks for sharing the details. I’m hopeful the issue may be resolved by now. If not, since you’ve noticed the cursor works fine in the Beta version, it does sound like a bug in the current release.

Just to rule out other possible causes, could you let us know:

  • Which exact version of Photoshop you’re running?

  • Your macOS version?

  • Whether you’re using any third-party panels, plug-ins, or custom cursor settings?

In the meantime, I’d suggest resetting Photoshop preferences manually (after creating a backup). Sometimes corrupted prefs can cause display issues like these. You can find the steps here: Reset Photoshop Preferences.

Srishti

@PhotoTrip Since you've already identified that the cursor works in the Beta version, it is highly likely that this is a known bug that will be fixed in a future official release. You could continue using the Beta version if the missing cursor is a significant workflow interruption for you.

I'll get back to testing this. I have updated photoshop and lightroom many times since. The one plugin I use is Canon Professional Print and Layout, I have other plugins that span Lightroom and Photoshop but don't use them in photoshop. I also use Fast Raw Viewer to feed imports.

Version Info: Macbook Pro, Apple M2 Max 32GB, Sequoia 15.6.1.(this is the machine where memory creeps), My Imac is Intel with 128GB, no issues there because I use it differently.
Photoshop - 26.10.0
Lightroom CC - Classic 14.5.1, Camera Raw 17.5

I often change the cursors and backgrounds, typically around images where masks blend in with the colors. I have defaulted them for now.

Thank you
