Cursor missing when re-sizing or saving files

Suddenly, I can no longer input data into my 'field' boxes. (I can't populate my information boxes.)  My cursor has disappeared in Photoshop when saving and re-sizing images in PS12.0.4 x 64. I can't input numbers for saving sizes, and if I try, the numbers I type aren't seen. If I try this though, the numbers somehow prompt a response something like 'that's too large,' or 'must input numbers between . . ..'

To save images, I've figured out that if I want my file titled "2019Photoshop1," I must type in "1pohsotohP9102."  Boxes where I would normally type in a figure (not text in the image), have no cursor at all. Even in this message, what should be the cursor, appears as a crop-mark sign instead of a cursor.

Just started four days ago, and I need to fix this. Can anyone help?

This only happens in Photoshop. I can't input any numeric values; not in image size/re-size;  not in filter %'s;  not in angle rotation arbitrary; nothing that requires me to type in a number. Names are almost the same; although, sometimes I can type a file name in backwards - and have it save the letters opposite of what I put in.  I haven't closed PS, because I had so many pix open and being worked on. I went thru preferences though, and couldn't find anything simple - like printing right to left. Thanks for any help you can give.

If I can understand you correctly then you have problem with OS not with Photoshop.

If you are on Windows 10 then I can report similar problem and I believe this is OS problem because I have problem and outside of Photoshop. It seems like numeric inputs are freeze and sometimes they start working after few presses while other times I cannot make them work at all. Again, this is happening outside of Photoshop too and with entire keypad row including brackets and so on...

Have you tried resetting the Preferences?

Preferences in Photoshop

"Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop"

Shutting down and re-opening Photoshop seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks everyone. Still not sure why this happened; but, glad the problem is gone.

Ah the good old close and re-open trick. Good to hear it's all ok.
