Cursor too small

I'm on a 4k display laptop that's running windows 10. Normally, my cursor is regular sized, but while I am drawing, it becomes too small to be seen. I've tried changing cursor size in preferences, but it did not work. Any solutions?

This didn't change anything related to the cursor size.

Have you selected the "Full Size Brush Tip" option?

Your CAPSLOCK ON? If not, brush sizes are sensitive, when you use brackets as shortcuts to increase or decrease [ ] what happens?

My capslock isn't on. The brackets do decrease/increase the sizes, but the size shown still doesn't correspond to the size that the program paints. For example, when the brush paints the red circle shown below, the cursor is only as big as the blue circle in the middle.
