Right now, I am still using Windows 10 but I am planning to go to Windows 11. After October, Windows 10 will not be supported. So, I am trying to find out how to deactivate and reinstall. I did this once before, but that was a long time ago, and I am not sure what I did before. I have Photoshop version 3 (even on floppy disks) versions 6, 7, CS, CS2, CS3, CS5, and CS6. I think this is what I did last time. I started the installation for version CS6 and when it asked for the serial number, I gave the CS5 number. I just do not remember if that is what I did. I looked at all my disks and versions 6 and 7 say upgrade. On versions CS, CS2, CS3, and CS5 I do not see the word upgrade on the disks. What is the proper way to proceed? I did not get a CD of version CS6, I believe I was given a link to download it. I still have a download on my hard drive. The file folder says I downloaded it in 2019. If this file does not work how can I get a 64-bit version like I have now? I have found where to download that file however, when you go to download that it says it is 32bit not 64. I have retired as a professional photographer so I do not use the program very much, but I still might want to use it.

Versions up to and including CS4 can no longer be activated.
CS5 and CS6 are no longer available for download.

The download links for both 32 and 64 bit versions should be in your Adobe account if you registered Photoshop CS6:

Help > Deactivate. If you don't do that first, there's no way to activate the new installation!
If you get a prompt for "qualifying serial number" when you install, it's an upgrade and you need to put in the CS5 serial number first, then the CS6 serial number.
The file folder says I downloaded it in 2019.

Actually, that's a bit of a red flag. I don't think CS6 was legally available anymore at that time, so you may have been offered a pirate copy. These have been all over the internet. The issued serial numbers were exhausted very quickly after CC was introduced in 2013, and no new serial numbers issued from Adobe.

I looked at the folder again and this time opened the folder the file in that folder was from 2013. I think I made the folder and moved the file into that folder. The only place I ever got Adobe downloads was from Adobe. I still even have Lightroom downloads in the Adobe folder. I do not even use Lightroom anymore so I should delete them.
