Decreased Video Playback Quality

Hello. I have been using photoshop for almost two years now, and one of the main reasons I do is to traditionally animate. The problem I am going to describe not only affects me, but the other frustrated traditional animators out there. I use the video timeline (as the frame timeline is not as convenient for animation), however when I playback the animation (which must be done over and over again to animate well) the video is extremely pixelated and the quality is bad, so the animation in unclear. This makes it almost impossible to animate. This problem is a huge setback for Photoshop, as it is a wonderful program however many animators, including me, cannot use Photoshop because of this one problem. I saw a forum similar to this that was answered 6 years ago, however, I want to know if this problem has been fixed. I am sure it is not my laptop that is the problem, and that the problem lies within Photoshop.

Please, please help me with the solution to this. It would greatly benefit me and the other animators out there. If there still is no fix to this, I know many of us will be disappointed and we will be waiting for when photoshop solves this problem.

Information just in case:

I use a Lenovo Yoga 260 Think Pad (i5)

My resolution is usually 300 in photoshop (the default) and my frame rate is the normal 24f.

1920 x 1080 is my canvas size (optimal canvas size to upload videos to youtube)

Thank you,

Punter.

It is hard to say without seeing a problem file. Are you able to post a link?

Dave

Hello. I solved the problem myself by copying all layers and pasting them onto a new photoshop file. Thank you anyhow~

Hi

The 300 ppi resolution is irrelevant here as that is a print setting

What are your preview settings in the video timeline 100% / 50% / 25% ? Note - depending on your system capabilities you may not be able to play 100% at full frame-rate in the preview

Hello Dave.

I don't have the option to choose preview settings (there is no gear or settings option in the timeline). I use Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 bit), and I don't think that option is available for my version of Photoshop. There is only the default method to view playback.

Hello.

I am using a laptop running Windows 10 and an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200 CPU processor.

My RAM is only 8GB, however. Could this perhaps be the reason?
