(Default) keybinds not working after update

Each update keeps breaking my PS keybinds and shortcuts. With the latest update on Dec 14, Ctrl-Z no longer works after I 'merge visible' then duplicate that layer to a different file. Hitting the control button activates the 'auto-select' tool, then tapping 'z' to activate the Undo keybind does nothing. I'm so tired of recreating and/or reprogramming new keybinds with every update.

    They are not, that is correct. 

     

    And now after a particular set of commands (merge visible > duplicate layer to another file), the undo shortcut will not work.

    So, if I am reading your post correctly, when you upgrade, Phtoshop is not transporting your customized keyboard shortcuts into the new version of the program--is that correct?
