I am new to bracketing. I did a series of architectural photos in three brackets. How do I develop them?

In Photoshop: File > Automate > Merge to HDR Pro...

Some use a third party app such as Photomatix Pro.

As one ho has seen far too many horrible HDR images, my advice would be to first check all three exposures in ACR. Try highlight and shadow recovery first. Chances are one of them carries all the information needed, without clipping.

I agree with D Fosse, there are far too many images that are over the top with the HDR effect. A little effect is recommended IMO.

Here's an example I've posted a few times, showing how easily & effectively highlights/shadows can be recovered from an apparently too-contrasty shot:

overexposure.png

This isn't an extreme example at all, note that the sliders have a lot more to go on. It does depend on the inherent dynamic range of the camera sensor, but most modern sensors have an astonishing dynamic range when you need to pull it all out (up to 14 stops).

Obviously, noise can be an issue with extreme shadow recovery. But even here, modern sensors are incredibly good.

HDR should be used with extreme care. Not only is it very rarely needed, but in the wrong hands it can produce absolutely ghastly results.

Oh, and ho ho I hate typos and correct them as quickly as I can, but once a post has been replied to you can't edit... It's who of course.
