I just installed the new photoshop.. and I got this message

Direct X feature 12.0 required

 

 My system info:   DirectX Version: DirectX 12

problem solved by Graphics driver updation.

This can seem a bit confusing - but DirectX version support is in fact not the same thing as DirectX Feature Level.

 

DirectX version support is the programming language spoken. It means the GPU can read and understand the functions.

 

But it may not be able to actually execute all of them them. And that's the feature level. The specified feature level is what the GPU can actually do, which is what counts for Photoshop.

It seems it is relatively old GPU from 2014. It does not have required DirectX, I found online DirectX 12 (Feature Level 11_0). It can not be updated, the only way to meet this requirement is to replace/change GPU.

 

Try to enable Older GPU mode (pre 2016) in Preferences > Technology Previews then restart Photoshop.
