display all menu items

Hi all. Using latest Photoshop on win 10 PC.

For some reason I cannot get all menu items to display. Selecting any of the top menu items (edit, image, layer type etc) does not display all items unless I select "show all menu items" at the bottom of each list. How do i have all menu items display by default. Must be a simple fix? but I've tried everything I know. Thanks in advance.

Ok...got it sorted. Because I was having a previous issue with saving my workspace I reset the Photoshop preferences. This unchecked some menu items in the menu box that allows you to check/uncheck specific items. Thanks anyway.

I should add also that after selecting "show all menu items" and then closing that menu I need to select "show all menu items" again as this choice is not saved. I would like all menu items to be displayed by default. Cheers.
