Do I need to update a previous version if I am already with the latest version [2018]

Hi all,

I am a long time use of Photoshop CC but had not updated for the last couple of updates, 19.1.7 and 20.0.1. I ended up installing 20.0.1 as I thought it would include the updates for 19.1.7. However, I am being prompted to do a download Photoshop CC 19.1.7. Do I need to now install 19.1.7? If I do will 20.0.01 still be the latest installed on my computer? Do I just ignore 19.1.7?

Thanks for any assistance,

Lance

Correct answer Per Berntsen

Versions 19 and 20 are separate installs completely independent of each other, so updating one won't update the other.

If you're using version 20, and are happy with it, you can ignore the 19.1.7 update, or even uninstall version 19. Version 20 will not be affected.

You didn't say which version was your previous version but 3-D was removed several years ago because it's not compatible with newer operating systems. The Photoshop team has left 22.2 available for download temporarily, which is the last version that has a working version of 3-D.
