Question

Draw, Record and layer onto a video

Hey guys,
I haven't been able to find a tutorial or steb-by-step guide.
I need to draw some simple illustrations, people and text, either to animate or record whilst being drawn.
Then i need to take these animations, and layer ontop of some video footage, which i don't quite have yet.
Is there some way to record whilst drawing, exporting and layer onto the video later, OR draw and then animate the drawings in a program, to then export and layer onto the video later?
Looking for the quickest and easiest way to do this 🙂

On Mac QuickTime Player allows for making screen recordings and I expect something similar to be available on Windows, too.

Depending on the complexity of the illustrations and the pixel dimensions you need this might suffice but it would not include transparency.

Thankyou for your reply.
But yeah i work on windows, and i needed something where the background doesn't follow.
But i have finally found the solution, and it was simply to draw over my illustration with brush tool, and make it transparent and an alpha channel.
The effect of "drawing on the go" is applied 😄

Recording while drawing is not a function of any Adobe product, natively. There may be plugins for this... or maybe something like doodle.com is what you're looking for.

in Adobe, the illusion of recording as you draw is usually accomplished with masks in AfterEffects.
