Dummies 101 Question about CC updates

I have CC2020, the plan for 9.99 which gives me PS and I believe Lightroom(which I don't use). Every time I check my updates it says I am updated. But I don't have any of the later features past CC2020 that I've seen talked about on YT.

I am not tech-savvy but I know how to use PS for my own digital purposes (I am not a photographer). I don't have anyone I know who is knowledgeable in computers or PS. So please know I don't understand anything about Dummies 101 language when it comes to this. I guess what I'm wondering is this...if I am not being updated, would I be correct in thinking that my PC  may have reached the limits of PS requirements for anything past CC2020, and that perhaps I should start looking at upgrading my PC to meet the latest requirements? Would that be a reason I don't get updated on new features?

Hi @shabby182 you are on 21.1.2 Photoshop CC2020. There is no 29.x the current version is 24.4.1.

Your CC Desktop app will only suggest updates if your computer meets the minmum system requirements.
Your GeForce GT 630 does not meet minmum requirements so you will not able to upgrade your software.

Sorry, I have a typo...it should be anything "above" Dummies 101, not about.

1. What is the actual version number of Photoshop that you have? Just just look to see if it's updated, use Help > About to get a number like 29.3.4.

2. What is the operating system version you are using? If it's Windows 10, what build is it? Let us know if you need help finding out.

3. How much RAM is installed?

Open the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app on your computer, and open the Apps tab. If any updates are available, it will tell you:

You can enable automatic updates, but many, including myself, don't recommend it, especially when in the middle of a project. For the same reason, enable Show Older Versions.

Yes I've done that. It shows nothing needs updated and that the last update was Camera Raw 10 days ago.

Another thing to try is signing out of Creative Cloud, and then signing back in.

I'm so confused by the whole app thing. How do I know, or how do I find, if I am on the CC desktop app page? Is that going to mess up any changes I've made to how I like and have my PS set up?

There isn't really any choice. There is only the CC app. There is also the CC web page in your browser, but that's not it. To get to the Creative Cloud Desktop app,

1. Go to the Search box in Windows 10 and type Creative.

2. Choose Adobe Creative Cloud.

3. Check it says Adobe Creative Cloud or Creative Cloud Desktop along the top.

This is where you sign in and out. This is where you add apps, or remove them, or update them.

But look, you've said something really confusing. "I do know it is not updated as the number is only 21.1.2 and I kept seeing the 29.3.4 mentioned"  I wanted you to check the number. If it's 21.1.2. If you are seeing 29.3.4, then you have a big problem, because that's just a number I made up (as an example). Maybe show us a screen shot with the number in it, so we can be sure we're all on the same page.

Thank you for the CC app info, I appreciate it. Sorry for the confusion about the number...I knew the updated version I've read about was a larger # than what I have and thought your made-up number was the latest version#.
