Dynamic Text icon disappeared from Photoshop. Anyone else?

Hi everyone

I used the Dynamic Text feature once, and it worked great, but then the icon just disappeared! My Photoshop is up to date, and I’ve checked online for solutions. I found a couple of workarounds, but they didn’t work for me, and I’m still not sure why this is happening or why Adobe hasn’t addressed it yet.

Since I saw others mention similar issues online, I figured I’d ask here:
Has anyone else experienced this?

Any ideas on how to bring the icon back or fix the issue?

Looks like your screenshot is possibly from an older Photoshop version that didn't have Dynamic Text.

Do you have more than one Photoshop version installed on your computer?

Check the Photoshop version your using from within Photoshop by going to Help>System Info and look at the top line

Well. That's embarrassing!

Apparently, I have both the 25.12.4 AND the 27.0 versions on my laptop. No wonder that when I check for updates, I see that it's up-to-date!
