Edit PDF document in photoshop

I need to edit a pdf file in photoshop

but the background is transparent how do I show the white background again ?

    So when i open up a PDF in photoshop it makes me rasterize it and yes the background is transparent. Just flatten file and it will be white.

      Background cannot be transparent, some color must be shown and usually it is white by default. Photoshop is simulating transparent background by showing so called transparency grid. If you need white background while editing then simply create blank new layer at the bottom of layers stack and fill it with white color.
