How can I download Photoshop 6 without discontinuing the latest Photoshop. I am in need of the oil paint filter that I have used in the past. Can someone help me?

    Oil Paint is found in Filter > Stylize.

    Oil Paint is in the current CC2019 Photoshop release.

    I have the current cc2019. Just checked the filters and the oil paint filter is not there.

    That is incorrect on two counts.

    1. You can download older versions as far back as CC2017 v18.1.7. Anything earlier is unauthorised and the download links have been removed.

    2. There is no need to uninstall the current version. I have several versions installed here.

    Thank you, Dave. To my regret, I contacted Adobe support and once again, these robots just don't understand half of what I'm saying. I just gave up.

    CS6 is no longer part of the CC subscription. The oldest authorised version on subscription is CC2017 v 18.1.7

     

    CS6 bought on a perpetual license is of course still valid (if your operating system allows) and if you bought it from Adobe and registered it should be available from your account.

    The latest Creative cloud update permits you to download older versions but at the expense of deleting whatever version you presently have.

    Do you have your serial number and disks for Photoshop CS6? (Don’t type it!). I assume you do mean CS6, not 6.

    Had it but lost it. I have the creative cloud with the latest CC but I need the CC6 for that specific filter. The new Creative cloud permits you to download old versions but at the expense of deleting the latest and can't do it as it is my mainstay for editing.
