Editing a Template in Photoshop

Hi guys, I am struggling with editing to a photoshop template. I know my way around in photoshop for basics but am needed to edit this template...how do I do this?

Templates can sometimes be tricky. Could you share more details about which part of the template you're struggling with? Screenshots or videos would be super helpful!

Thanks for responding! I have attached an image of my current layout in photoshop. I'm wanting to create a valentine's day gnome with candy in it. The point would be the top of his hat. I have a pattern ready to go but not sure how to adjust this. Do I have the wrong template maybe?

It is likely to be a Smart Object.  Doublke click the layer.  If it is an SO it will open in a new wiindow for editing. If you are not sure where tp go from there, show us a full res screen shot of the entire workspace showing documet window and layers panel.

Just took a look at the file, and as @Trevor.Dennis says, it includes differen Smart Object layers for each of the box faces. Just double-click on them in the Layers panel and they'll open as a separate file. Then you can add your content to this other file and save. It will then update into the original template
