Whenever I open a file in Photoshop, all the tools work as they should except when I try to use the eraser tool, it causes glitches that make the program unusable. Whatever y-axis the mouse is at, up to that point there's a black screen (the first picture) and sometimes if I try to work around the issue and use the tool anyway, it makes the screen look like it does in picture two. It's not just one file, Photoshop is up to date, and I've tried restarting the program multiple times. If possible, I'd like to avoid having to redownload it.
I also had an issue where a file I was working on (on a Mac) was saved to the Creative Cloud but I was not able to find it on a separate device (Windows) despite saving it multiple times. I don't know if these two things are somehow related, but nonetheless annoying.
Some technical info: I'm using the most updated version of Photoshop on Windows 11.
