Eraser tool not erasing everything in selected cursor size??

Explorer ,
Oct 15, 2019 Oct 15, 2019

My eraser tool isn't erasing everything in the circle size I have choosen. It only erases the inside area of the circle so only about 50% of the circle size. I have tried the smoothness and opacity settings, because I know thats the first thing people will say to check.

Are you on Mac? See troubleshoot cursor size in this document for an OS setting that can cause the cursor to appear too big? https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/basic-troubleshooting.html

What is the brush hardness setting? You might also check Preferences >Cursor is set to 'Normal Brush Tip' and not 'Full Size Brush Tip'

Hello, when a tool misbehaves, the first thing I do is to reset it: right-click on the tool icon in the option bar.

The erase tool is not erasing the full selected area... See picture attached

I have the same problem... Did you able to fix the problem?

Please let me know

Hi

I get the same results with both the Brush tool and the Eraser tool.

@J453

I've just now changed the setting, and yes, it is working now (although I had perfected the "compensating"!) 😊

Full, Standard, Precise and it is not fixing the problem

Did you check the cursor size in your operating system's System Preferences > Accessibility > Display settings?
