Eraser tool not working properly in Photoshop 22.2 on Windows 10

Photoshop’s eraser serves as one of the program‘s most useful features.

What brush preset do you have selected?   You can select any of the brush presets with the Eraser tool, and I can see some presets not working well.  Make sure you have a hard round brush selected.  If still in trouble reset the eraser tool.

We're sorry about the trouble with the Eraser tool in Photoshop. Are you using a drawing tablet or trying to use the tool with the mouse? If you have a drawing tablet attached, try disconnecting the tablet & then use the tool with your mouse to check if the issue persists.
