Error 16

I just had a new SSD drive installed in my iMac.  everything is up and running except my adobe applications.  I'm getting "Error 16".  I found a thread that gave the steps to repair the permissions, but SLStore and Adobe PCD are not found on my computer.  Any ideas?

i was actually able to get it to work.  i right clicked on the red install icon and took steps from there.  it's installed via the terminal window now.  thanks for your replies!

oh, and i discovered that if i just hit enter at the password line, it got me in.  there was actually no password to enter.  where it went, i have no idea.  just have to figure out now how to create an admin password.  thanks for your replies!

i'm using Sierra.  i did actually find a way to install by right clicking on the red install icon, but now i'm being asked for an admin password and it's not accepting my password.  i just had some work done, and the tech told me there is no password, but it will not allow me to move forward without entering one.  i entered my old one but it's not accepting it.  i am stuck.

Change or reset the password of a macOS user account - Apple Support

You may have to contact Apple support if the above does not work.

One time a Creative Cloud install scrambled my permissions and this Terminal command fixed it.

Copy and paste into Terminal:

sudo chmod -R 777 /Library/Application\ Support/Adobe

Also, I tried to do a fresh install of Photoshop CS6 and the message i got is this: "Installer failed to initialize.  This could be due to a missing file.  Please contact Adobe Support Advisor...."

CS6? What is your operating system? And what are your hardware specs?

Hi

Please try the steps at this Adobe Help page: Configuration error in Adobe Creative Cloud

You may need to show hidden files first.
