hey all, im very new to photoshop but every time i upload a png file it keeps coming up with this message. can anyone help? thank you

Photoshop should let you Open or Place a PNG. It sounds like it could be another issue.

Generally, you can start by resetting preferences:

If that doesn't work you could see if any of these troubleshooting methods help:

When you say you try to upload a PNG, do you mean you're trying to open it? Or place it?
