error on camera raw support page
I believe that there is an error on the camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras Adobe page (I tried to add the link but received a message that html was removed). https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html. Adobe added the OM1 mark II camera as supported in the middle of February see screenshot below, but the camera is not currently listed as supported by Adobe for RAW files. I am concerned that this error is confusing people and may deter people from purchasing the OM1 mark II camera. Please fix the list and add the OM-1 mark II camera since Adobe does support its RAW ORF files, (since 2/2024). Thank you. I chatted, they opened a case, but then I got an email that they closed the case (uwebsite error still persists)
- I am an OM SYSTEM photographer, having been using Olympus and OM SYSTEM cameras since 2016.
- I purchased an OM SYSTEM OM-1 mark II camera early 2024
- As with all new cameras, Adobe does not support opening RAW files when a camera first comes out so we waited for an adobe update in order to be able to open RAW files from the new OM SYSTEM OM-1 mark II camera.
- The update came fast, and in February, again, see screenshot below, we were able to open RAW files from the OM SYSTEM OM-1 mark II camera!
- I messaged and texted everyone I knew with -- letting them, know that Adobe was now supporting the camera RAW files.
- I was recently helping someone purchase a new OM SYSTEM OM-1 mark II camera from Hunts photo. She ordered the camera, and then went home and started seaching to make sure that the camera was supported by Adobe. When she searched https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html the OM1 mark II camera was NOT listed as being supported. I did let her know that Tom and I and many O-1 mark II users have been using Adobe to open and edit RAW files since February.
- FYI, I am also an OM SYSTEM ambassador so I am often helping people chose and purchase a camera.
- I am also concerned that this error on your website may deter people from purchasing the OM1 mark II camera.
"Here's the story: I did a google search asking if OM1 mk2 was compatible with LrC . A list came up from LR of compatible cameras but the OM1mk2 was not listed on the camera raw supproted page (link removed). I spoke with 2 different Melrose location Hunts reps: the first one, Larry, searched online and came to the same conclusion, the second rep, Melody (who was extraordinarily helpful), said she would verify online and also with in-store staff and with OM reps, and phone me back (which she did and came to the same conclusion). I decided to return the camera, although people in the Facebook group said that I could convert the ORF raw files to DNGs, or use the OM Workspace to convert the RAW ORF files to TIFFs, that is just too much workflow for me. I must say I was a bit confused and nervous during all of this."
