Experiencing issues with file size

Hello,

I'm currently having issues with file sizes. I'm making a series of banners, they are 650x366 as that's the size that I save them as normally and if needed I usually resize them to either 550x310 or 525x296. Now I managed to save three of said banners with no issue whatsoever, but as soon as I get to the fourth, fifth and sixth their file size jumps up by 10, going from 17.6 MB to 28.5 MB. How is that even possible when they're all basically the same, with slight changes for each one. But it doesn't make any sense that the first three are all the same and then last three are a different file size. I've even tried to make them either 550x310 or 525x296 (the ones that were 28.5) and they still wouldn't go down in file size. I believe I have a Windows 7 or 8 with I believe a 2018 Photoshop and I haven't been able to find anywhere where it saves to 'Save for Web and Devices', I'm not entirely sure if that's just for Mac or Windows 9 and up. I'd really like to know why the file size is jumping up like that. I'll attach two images of the banners (As I've said they basically all look the same) and hopefully someone can help me. I absolutely don't want to try and save them as .JPG as they'll lose their quality and basically ruin the banners. I've also thought that maybe flattening them might work, but I also have folders within the PSD file of this and noticed that when I flatten those disappear and I really don't wanna do that either.

Here's the first of the six banners, this is one that there isn't an issue and the file size is 17.7 MB. The first three of these banners look almost identical to this one, with the exception of the characters and the blue text. Here's the first of the six banners, this is one that there isn't an issue and the file size is 17.7 MB. The issue might be about Ancestors Metadata, you could try the Script in below thread to see if it makes a difference.

Okay, I found the save for web and devices part, thank you for that. As far as the Ancestors Metadata, where do I find that to try and see if I can fix it with that, I've never even heard of Ancestors Metadata before.

Run the Script from the thread I linked to – if it makes a difference then that’s that.

If you want to check first try File > File Info > Raw Data – if there is a lot of data there and scrolling down just reveals more and more then that’s probably it.

Otherwise please provide two files (one of the small and one of the big ones) for comparison.

Okay, I actually think I may of been able to fix the problem all on my own. I ended up going to export and did 'Quick Export as PNG' and it lowered the file size into KB (About 300 or so) and the quality is untouched, it's the still the same quality. Although I did resize it to 525x296 before I did that. So I guess I just have to do that from now on? But thank you for your help.

If you get the result you want then whatever; but if you want to know what exactly the issue is or was you may have to do some more work.
