Hi,

It's my first experience with animated gif.

I made a short animation (37 sec), I tried to export to animated gif by going to -> file -> export -> save for web -> chose -> gif -> export, and the animation is cut in the middle.

(there is an attachment).

I also think Adobe limits Animated GIF to 500 frames  so you would need to  set your 37 second video to a frame rate around 10 fps. That would be 370 frames. You may need to edit the saved animated gif and set the frames to have  0.1 second delay so the gif would display in 37 seconds not quicker. You would be much better off rendering a 37 Second Exported MP4 video at a higher frame rate like 30 fps that would be 1,110 frames.  Video is not encoded with all full frames video encoding is far superior to animated encoding and has better color.

Animated GIF is fun, but it’s a simple toy. Abandon all hope of treating it like a regular video format.

Hi, Louise.
You're trying to export a GIF image from a video timeline.
Certainly, that method seems to be able to export long videos only partially. I don't know why. You can only do up to 500 frames.
You can create a long GIF movie by going to 'Convert Frame to Clip' > 'Convert to Frame Animation' > 'Create Frame from Layer'.
However, I don't think it's practical.
I think that it is better to export in mp4 format, read it while thinning it out, and keep it within 500 frames.
