Question

Export As... not saving export preferences

So, in the past Photoshop used to save my image export preferences for individual artboards when using the Export As feature. For a while now, Photoshop has stopped doing this. Every time I use that dialog box I have to reselect whether I want an artboard to be exported as a JPG or PNG. It will not remember my previous export settings.

I've tried throwing away preferences and even reinstalling the entire app. Are other people noticing this?

Hey, @timz67519437. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more specific info about this, and I'll help you figure this out. Before troubleshooting, update Photoshop to the latest version (v25.11) via the Creative Cloud desktop app & check if the issue exists.

If it does, please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here.

For a temporary workaround, go to Photoshop > Settings > Export > Use legacy 'Export as' & restart Photoshop.

Also, test using Photoshop (beta).

Check if these steps help. Let me know how it goes.

Already stated in my original post that I reinstalled everything from scratch and even deleted preferences.

I'm not saying that Export As doesn't work. I'm saying that it isn't remembering my settings and I have to select that I want it to export a PNG instead of a JPG every time I export artboards.
