Hi,
We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop while using Export As or Quick export. Would you mind telling us which version of Photoshop you're using along with the version of Windows you're working on? Are you exporting the files to an external drive? Have you tried changing the location to which you are exporting to check if that makes a difference? If not, please try that & let us know if it helps.
You can also try to reset the preferences of Photoshop manually using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2Qzc0K3
Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://adobe.ly/2vNz6FG
Let us know how it goes!
Regards,
Nikunj

Could you post your source PSD and resulting PNGs for us to investigate?

This also happens to me. Upon first export from photoshop whether export as/quick export the file is corrupt and can't be opened, however if i re-export following the exact same path and naming of the file and overwrite the previous file it works as expected.
It obviously still allows for export, however, it becomes tedious having to export the same object or file multiple times just for it to work. I believe with the latest update of photoshop did this first start happening.

I am not able to reproduce.
I quit, relaunched Photoshop, opened a file, chose File > Export > Export As..., select PNG, export. Open the exported file. Not corrupt.
Am I missing a step? Anything special about the file you're exporting?

Here is an example of my quick access in windows. As you can see two of the files are corrupt and the files that are not were exported with the exact same path.
Path was File > Export > Quick Export as PNG

It looks like the file isn't corrupt; just missing the file extension.
Do you have Windows set to show or hide file extensions? Generally, I would recommend to always show extensions.

This still doesn't take away from the fact that I have to export the same thing twice in order for it to properly have the correct file extension. I've reset preferences, I've re-installed photoshop, I've done everything and nothing.

This isn't normal behavior. It doesn't happen here, just tested every which way.
You might try to reset Photoshop preferences. A corrupt prefs file can cause very unpredictable and erratic behavior.

Now that you have extensions showing, can you try it again? Watch the dialog box carefully as you do:
Let us know exactly when it disappears. If it's still not working, give us:
